One research reported by the Bastyr Center for Natural Health found hat hibiscus tea may be as effective in controlling blood pressure as the antihypertensive drug Captopril. The study that patients who consumed two cups of hibiscus tea daily for one month lowered their systolic blood pressure, the same response induced by the medication Captopril. Hibiscus tea increases urination and reduces blood volume which also causes blood pressure to be reduced.
